What flag does a school need for the hoisting ceremony?
This is the flag raised on the school's main pole during the assembly. It should be a durable, properly proportioned flag built for outdoor hoisting — this is not the place to use a decorative or printed flag.
What flags do students need for the ceremony?
For students to wave during the ceremony or march-past, small hand-held flags (often on plastic or bamboo sticks) are the standard choice. These are typically ordered in bulk — one per student, sometimes with extras for staff and visitors.
What about the stage or dais?
For the stage, dais, or where dignitaries and staff are seated, a smaller flag on a stand is standard alongside the main hoisting flag.
How far in advance should a school order?

Count generously. It's easier to have a few spare hand-held flags than to be short on the day.
